As Sparks Fly Upwards

"As Sparks Fly Upward" is a collaborative illustrated devotional created by Redeemer Community Arts of Redeemer Church PCA in Jackson MS. Its creation was done largely during the 2020 pandemic, when coming together in person was impossible. Having moved to a new city the summer prior, I found myself especially isolated. My participation in this devotional was something which forced me to face the fears and experiences of the world through the lens of scripture with the companionship of believers and makers a country away. It became the most difficult and intentional season of Lent I've ever experienced.
